It’s that time of the year again. Turkeys are everywhere (literally!) – walking around the neighborhood, lounging on a store shelf, hiding in your freezer. If you are little behind with your preparation for the big feast, don’t worry, there are ways for you to catch up on your To-Do list. The easiest solution would be to call us and we will make sure that everything is ready for the holiday. Of course, some people like to be very much involved in their preparation so here are some helpful tips.
- Get that turkey. Almost every store has turkeys in stock. Some offer organic, some offer locally grown and some even cook it for you. It is important to preorder your turkey well in advance if you want it cooked. The following list is of my top four places that offer local turkeys:Dave’s Fresh Pasta , Whole Foods , Savenor’s Market , Formaggio Kitchen
- Side dishes. All of the stores mentioned above offer precooked side dishes as well, so go ahead and browse their menu (Formaggio Kitchen Sides). Flour Bakery has some delicious offerings too.
- Dessert- home made vs. store bought. The possibilities are endless. As usual I recommend to purchase your Thanksgiving pie from Pie in the Sky to support those in need. But if you are feeling creative and want to whip up something amazing and different, start browsing Pinterest. I know, it’s not very original, but I find it very inspirational.
Have a delicious Thanksgiving !
